WiTricity Corporation was founded in 2007 to commercialize a new technology for wireless electricity invented and patented by a team of physicists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, led by Professor Marin Soljačić. WiTricity developed a series of reliable wireless power transfer systems enabling the transfer of power from one device to other at high efficiency based on MIT patents, the system could be used in electric vehicle, consumer electronics, medical devices and industrial environment. On February 11th, 2019, WiTricity announced the acquisition of Qualcomm Halo. WiTricity becomes the only technology provider with total solution for electric vehicle wireless charging. Most of the major automobile manufactures have adopted WiTricity’s technology solutions. Especially, BMW has launched a production car, 530e, based on WiTricity technology in 2018.
May Wu, General Manager of Everbright Haiyin Fund Department who joined CEL in March 2017. May is responsible for the management of Everbright Haiyin Fund. May is a seasoned professional who worked in various global corporations for many years. She has extensive experience in equity investment and corporate operation. Apart from this, May established a mobile internet company which provided healthcare related services to the clients. Prior to joining our company, May was Founding Partner of Haiyin Capital. She was responsible for capital raising and operation of the fund including investor relations and investment management. May holds an MBA from Concordia University Wisconsin.
Mr. Jingdong Li joined Everbright Haiyin on December 2017 as Managing Director. He is responsible for Investment activities in Everbright Haiyin Fund. Before joining Everbright, Mr. Li worked as Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Beijing ielife e-Commerce Co., Ltd., in charge of investment and M&A, built M&A risk management processes, supervised the execution of the process. He was also responsible for the approval process of M&A terms and fund management. As a General Manager, he was responsible for overall operation of the company as well as overseas M&A activities for the parent public listed company. Mr. Li also worked for Cisco Systems (China) as Regional manager for National Strategic Accounts, built extensive experiences in energy, transportation and manufacturing industry in China.
Mr. Dakui Zhang joint Everbright Haiyin in May, 2018 as vice president of investment responsible for investment activities in Everbright Haiyin Fund. Before joining Everbright, Mr. Zhang worked at Boston Consulting Group(BCG) in Tokyo office and focused on cross-border M&A consulting related to TMT and health care. After that, he co-founded a SAAS startup for real estates and property management companies on offline to online services. Mr. Zhang also worked as a manager of group strategy and investment office at Country Garden Group, responsible for strategy and investment on property management and community offline to online services. Mr. Zhang graduated from Peking University with bachelor degrees of Chemistry and Economics.
